Slam’n Salmon Ocean Derby September 2, & 3 2018 (Labor Day Weekend) – Not scheduled for 2018
This festival is the largest ocean fishing derby on the West Coast where hundreds of fishermen flock to Brookings every Labor Day weekend for their try at a “trophy Chinook Salmon”. Fishermen and their families come from all over the state of Oregon;  some come from as far away as New York and as close as Idaho. As many as 450 fishermen board their boats in hopes of winning the $6,000 prize for the biggest salmon and a chance to win other cash awards of $10,000 plus several thousand dollars worth of prizes such as rods and reels, crab pots, and numerous other fishing gear. Salmon Famine ’18 Labor Day Weekend September 1, 2, 10:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Located at Port
of Brookings-Harbor on the waterfront boardwalk. There’s a party going on to help send
good, replenishing vibes to our salmon! Come enjoy shopping, beer, food, games, contests,
local and regional artisans, live entertainment Saturday and Sunday; featuring CiC the
Band, Tiger Lily,and more. Plus a Cornhole Tournament 2 p.m. Saturday! You can also
discuss Fish Fate with the pros and why it matters.

Azalea Festival May 26, 27, 28 2018 | The theme for the 2018 Azalea Festival is “Another Day in Paradise” Since 1943, this Brookings coastal springtime celebration has featured a parade, carnival, street fair, 10k run, car show, bonsai exhibit, regional art shows, quilt and crafts exhibits, Coast Guard demonstration and live music.The festival celebrates the blooming azaleas that beautify Azalea Park from April until June. Annually, Memorial Day weekend. It is estimated that 12,000 people will attend this year’s event. Banana Belt Fat Bike Festival August 4, 2018  
The Banana Belt Fat Bike Festival is a family friendly weekend celebration of the Southern Oregon Coast & Fat Bikes! We are highlighting the newest South Coast Fat Bike Maps and celebrating the love Oregon has for its beaches, bikes, and beer! July 4th at the Port of Brookings-Harbor
Make July 4th a special day, we have combined the Funky Foot Race/Kids Boardwalk Dash with the Bluegrass on the Boardwalk event.  The day will begin with a NEW addition of a half marathon at 8 a.m., 5k and 10k at 9 a.m. and the Kids Boardwalk Dash at 10:30 a.m. The Boardwalk Dash will be broken up into two groups, children ages 3-6 and 7-10. This is an action-packed fun run/walk for the entire family. Along the course there will be two local bands and water stations will be plentiful along the course. Directly following the Boardwalk Dash will be the awards ceremony and plenty of great give a ways! These will be awarded to the participants of the fun runs. You will not want to miss this opportunity to win great prizes, including cash! This is a day packed full of entertainment and fun for everyone to enjoy. There is no admission into the Festival. Event kicks off Friday at noon At Port of Brookings-Harbor, with opening ceremonies on the main stage at the Port. Shanties (that’s “songs” for all you lads and lassies not familiar with the lingo) will be performed by the Bloody Scupper Plunder Club, Long Blond Silver, the Pistol River Trio and B.O.O.M: The Brotherhood of Oceanic Mercenaries; pirate reggae, kids’ pirate fun, live cannon fire from the pirate encampment at the south end of the boardwalk and a sword fight on the boardwalk will also take place. Last summer’s festival lured between 6,000 and 8,000 people to Brookings, Harbor, the Port of Brookings Harbor and beyond. This year, Ellis anticipates to see between 10,000 and 12,000 people will be bedecked in their finest long clothing, slinking around southern Oregon. The Rotary Club of Brookings-Harbor is a service organization that is involved in supporting activities throughout the Brookings-Harbor community. Crab Festival held at the Port of Brookings-HarborCrab Festival- Annually held at Port of Brookings-Harbor 
Live music, vendors, crab races and a chowder cook-off are highlights of the Port of Brookings Harbor’s Crab Festival that runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. A Dungeness crab dinner will be served from 4 to 6 p.m.Visitors to the port’s boardwalk area can look forward to a day of live music by local bands — The Mudsharks and Second Bridge — as well as DJ services provided by Stagelights Musical Arts Community. The festival will feature more than 20 local artisans and vendors, including Tight Lines Brewery, Abiqua Wind Vineyard, Bandon’s Best Kettle Korn and ABC Creations. Visitors will also be able to take part in crab races, hourly crab raffles and a chowder cook-off. Crab boats will be open for people to visit.The Dungeness crab dinner will include music, raffles and beer from local breweries. Food will be served in a tent next to the port office, between the Bell and Whistle Coffee Shop and the Chetco Indian Memorial Project.
